FriendPlay is about having a good time with friends and family. These simple guidelines keep online rooms friendly for everyone.
Play honestly
- Do not use engines, solvers, scripts or other cheating tools in online games. Beating a friend with a computer's help is no fun for anyone.
- Do not try to read hidden information (such as ship positions or your opponent's secret pick) from your browser's developer tools.
- Do not try to disrupt rooms, spam reactions or interfere with other people's games.
Be respectful
- Choose a display name you would be happy for a grandparent to read. Names are limited to 12 characters and pass through a filter; offensive names are automatically replaced with "Player 1", "Player 2" and so on.
- There is no text chat on purpose. Reactions are limited to eight friendly emoji — 👍 😂 😮 😢 🔥 👏 🤝 🎉 — and can be sent once every two seconds.
- Win well and lose well. A quick 👏 after a good game goes a long way.
Share rooms wisely
Room links work for anyone who has them, so share them only with people you want to play with. If someone unexpected joins, the host can simply leave and create a new room with a fresh code.
Reporting a problem
Because rooms are temporary and nothing is stored, we cannot look up past games. If you see an offensive name, a bug that lets someone cheat, or anything else that spoils the fun, email hello@friendplay.in with the game name, the time it happened and what you saw. We use these reports to improve our filters and fix issues quickly.
